We are seeking a Middleweight PHP developer to join our team and work on a range of projects, designing and building software and infrastructure from scratch as well as improving existing applications.

The successful candidate will work closely with our senior development team to architect new applications and functionality while helping more junior developers learn new technologies and deliver on time.

Required Skills:

  • Solid PHP fundamentals – knowledge of OOP and common design patterns.
  • Frontend – You should have good understanding HTML, CSS and JavaScript / jQuery.
  • Great knowledge of SQL – the usual relational database experience, MySQL, MariaDB etc.
  • Linux Web server administration – Navigating the system, installing tools, permissions etc.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Basic source control – Check in, checkout, switching branches, creating branches, merge conflicts

Bonus Skills:

  • Working knowledge of a PHP Framework – (Laravel or Symfony preferred).
  • Frontend Javascript frameworks – react, vue, angular
  • PHPUnit as part of your workflow – or want it to be.
  • Continuous Integration / Deployment experience
  • Experience of AWS or similar
