We are looking for a Head of Marketing to join our Marketing & Ecommerce Team for 15 months maternity cover. This is a fantastic opportunity for a motivated individual to make a real difference and be a part of a successful multinational organisation working with our household brand names such as Lay-Z-Spa, Bestway and Osprey all whilst working in Devon.
You will ultimately be responsible for all activities of the marketing department including managing a large marketing budget, running a team of five people and overseeing the marketing strategy, planning and execution for a number of brands.
This will include the diagnosis of our brands through market research, developing effective brand marketing strategies and then executing these strategies by creating, implementing, tracking, and optimising marketing campaigns. From TV and radio advertising campaigns to paid social media and trade shows, we manage a wide variety of marketing campaigns.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing diagnosis and market research for our brands
- Develop, present and implement marketing strategies & plans for our brands and websites
- Oversee the planning, execution, optimisation and reporting on marketing campaigns
- Manage the marketing budgets
- Managing five direct reports, supporting their growth & development into future marketing leaders
- Develop customer insights for our brands
- Ensure high quality, effective creative is used in marketing campaigns
- Providing brand marketing thought leadership across the business.
- Collaborating with external marketing agencies and partners where necessary.
- Maintain regular consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance, and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures. Pursue personal development of skills and knowledge.
- Adhere to stated policies and procedures relating to Health & Safety and Quality Management.
- Any other tasks deemed by the Company to be necessary for the successful completion of the role.
Person Specification:
- Experienced in all things marketing – this role brings together marketing strategy, creative engagement, channel thinking, budget management, marketing execution and analysis.
- Digitally savvy. Excellent understanding of the digital marketing landscape.
- Highly organised. Must be comfortable juggling multiple projects, brands and team members.
- Confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
- A good creative eye for photo, video and general design.
- Ecommerce experience would be beneficial.
